Russian Teacakes, also known as Mexican Wedding Cookies

1 cup soft real butter ½ cup sifter powdered sugar


1 tsp vanilla ¼ tsp salt


2¼ cup sifted flour ¾ cup finely chopped nuts


Mix butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add flour, salt and nuts. Chill dough. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 400ºF for 10 to 12 minutes until set but not brown. While still warm roll in powdered sugar. Cool, and roll in powdered sugar. Makes 4 dozen..
